Wow. Looks great. Anyone want to buy my Concept? Haha.

MIN 09-04-08 02:59 PM

the concept has nothing over the new tk2.

trons 09-04-08 02:59 PM

thanks, i missed that. 40mm alloy rims and 16 lb weight without pedals, ridiculous.

dddave 09-04-08 03:10 PM

tk3... meh

If I lived a bit closer to a velodrome, I'd just have to buy one.

MIN 09-04-08 03:12 PM

the deep rims make it. i never paid attention to the tk2 before the 2009 model year.

exhibitx 09-04-08 03:25 PM

needs more branding

neverjared 09-04-08 03:35 PM

This is upsetting. This is one badass looking track machine. I must have it. 2009 TK2 for the win!

Gah. Look at that picture. Mesmerizing!

dutret 09-04-08 03:43 PM

Looks like the tk2 keeps the crappy aero wishbone and the tk3 gets unprotected Al track ends.

How much is it going to cost?

Tk3 says it has stainless inserts. but i can't see them in the picture.

iwegian 09-04-08 04:02 PM

next summer i'll be able to get one of those for dealer cost:):):)

MIN 09-04-08 04:05 PM

The 08 TK2 was like $1200 and I've seen it sell for $950 at the end of the retail season. So i assume $200 more for this model once it releases?

zazquatch 09-04-08 04:10 PM

I just bought a 08 concept frame set :[

That seems incredibly optimistic. They're introducing a new bike that more or less takes the old tk2s place. Closer to 2k seems more likely.

trons 09-04-08 05:32 PM

weird that the tk3 < tk2

they won't sell any at 2k.

that makes me assume that they're going to come out with a TK1, which would be a fairly high-end track bike with fancy schmancy wheels.

i like what they've done to the TK2.

dutret, why don't you like the wishbone stay?

fly:yes/land:no 09-04-08 06:12 PM

they already have the tk1. it is carbon. available as frameset only. it will be very expensive.

as per dutret's complaints, i am not sure about the wishbone, but i certainly cannot put out much power, so there may be torsion under high torque. i know that the rear stays aren't as large as i would have guessed for a track frame, but they seem stiff enough for all 152 pounds of me. ;) as for the dropouts, i don't really like them. i have had my tk2 for 3 years, and the dropouts are still functional, but it takes some delicacy to preserve them. i would very much prefer last year's tk2 with the new dropout design.

MIN 09-04-08 06:15 PM

two grand. no way. it's only got better rims, cranks and paint vs 08.

MIN 09-04-08 06:16 PM

didn't 07 have super short track ends?
