SE Draft
Just was wondering why people hated the SE Draft so much. I know theres some ****ty things on it, like the crank (bmx crank) and the wheelset is absolutely garbage, but I just picked one up for a buddys birthday that a few friends chipped in for. The frame looks nice and it's not too heavy and has front and back brakes. I guess all I'm saying is, it was $195.10 after tax, and I think for another 200 bucks it can be nicer than the BD bikes. I guess it's not worth 250, but the sale right now for 180 seems like it's a steal!

I had one, keep telling yourself it's not heavy. Its a POS and even with another $200 in upgrades you would still have a heavy ass bike with a beach cruiser BB and nowhere near the value of a BD bike. Kudos for buying your friend a bike though, as long as he rides it it makes the value of the bike go up IMO.

I got to handle one. Absolutely no snob appeal. Otherwise, it's fine. It's the kind of bike made to be ridden, not admired. More low end bikes should be as good.

Fair price for a brand new bike for someone not too much fascinated with the bicycle, but will attain the functional purpose of pedaling from class-to-class on a college campus, or around a small town without big hills. No need to upgrade on this one, because any additional money spent should be put toward a better bike down the road.

Looks to be the same bikes with different paint jobs and different handlebars? Like the Langster in different versions?

I own one... There are a few mods that I need to tweak (parts wise)... For instance, the one piece crank and s crank arm... I ended up swapping it out, now I even like it more...
Other than that, I haven't had any problems with it... It maybe cheap, but it works for me...

I bought the SE Lager about 3 months ago. I converted it to a fixed, I changed the bar tape, changed the pedals, the stock tires they came with are not the greatest so I will get new tires soon. I have no complaints, the bike is light to me, its a chromoly frame.
Down the road I will change the cranks.

I like how Scattante tries their hardest to leave those frames void of any branding, but then they put it on the inside of the chainstays. The skyline graphics are pretty cool. Yea, wait until they start discounting them... and why are they on the website if they aren't available until Jan 1st?
