looking for some pedals

I'm looking to get pedals with good cornering clearance, something such a this
https://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_S...ils&ProdID=592

The problem is that those pedals don't accept standard toe clips and I'd like to use something stronger such as steel clips to retain my feet. Does anyone know of any affordable pedals such as these which I can run with steel clips? I looked at vintage dura ace pedals but those are going for way to much. Thanks.

sylvans can be pretty unforgiving if youre riding in soft-soled shoes. i'd go with the gsr-9's.

The gsr-9 will definitely help more if you wear sneakers or regular shoes. The platforms on them will be less likely to tear up the soles of your shoes. Plus, cornering clearance on them is just as good as the sylvan track pedals.

gr-9 is way more comfortable than /\ sylvans
i rode the sylvans for a bit and they started digging into my shoe...not good
go with the gr-9 if you are going to be wearing softer shoes

you can get them in black too but they cost a little more

cheers

Go for the GR9s, I have those right now and they're awesome. I have yet to get any pedal strike cornering and the platform is really nice even with really flexible shoes like sambas.

the pedals arent completely lined up on the bottom, but i fixed it and now you can see them side by side more accurately.

Wow I think I'm running those MKS Sylvan Road's that I picked off a bike someone had abandoned in a bush with steel clips and leather straps. Only problem is the quill on one rusted to hell from not having an endcap and when i rebuilt it all the threads imploded, the nut is basically welded on there. Can you get new quills for these?
