Book
Anyone know any good books on messengers or fixed gear riding?
|
PUMA has a fixed gear book they put out but no one here would say its good. The advice in it is pretty bad
|
is worth reading; parts get a bit silly but still interesting.

Fast Eddie Williams, Bike Messenger Life--
almost all photos on the subject in NYC |
I recently picked up Pedal Mafia's book.
Its more of an artsy type book with mostly images. http://www.freshnessmag.com/v4/2008/...ultitude-book/ http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i2...e/L1010501.jpg |

I've seen that puma book. It is stupid. But the other suggestions look good, I'll have to check them out.

I don't think the puma book is worthless. It has some tips that some don't know about
|
Pedal. The movie is based on it or vice versa. Not sure, just found it when I was looking for the movie.
http://www.powerhousebooks.com/titless06/pedal.html Rain City Fix is an artsy Northwest Based photo book by a guy I knew in Portland some years back who moved to Seattle and got heavy into Fixie culture. Not much history or story, just some cool photos and notes about cool bikes and their interesting riders. http://bikehugger.com/2008/06/rain_c...photo_book.htm http://www.lulu.com/content/2610320 http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...ndID=297407404 |
So all that hype for that RCF book and they print the damn thing in B&W? FAIL!
