Swiss Stop either yellow or green (Better than Kool Stop; I've used both)

I thought this question is funny to ask in a forum where some people scoff at the idea of putting brakes on their fixed gear bikes...

Sixty Fiver 09-26-08 08:58 AM

i think a lot of people scoff at the idea of not having brakes. it would be cool to make a poll, but the inevitable ***** fight that would ensue probably wouldn't be worth it.

You'd be surprised at how many people do rock a brake.

And if they do... koolies are still the way to go.

The ones that make you stop are pretty good.

I have been wondering the same. I just upgraded the canti's on my touring bike to avid shorty's (the stock shimano cheapees just flex with the STI levers), and find the avid shoes tooooo slippery. But on the koolstop site, they suggest that salmon is best for improved wet stopping, and black is better for dry. Since I live in dry Arizona, I was going to go with black, dispite the rave reviews of the salmon - Comments?

OP actually spelt brake right. Holllllllllly ****.
