Need buying advice

Hey helpful BF members.

I'm looking for a decent quality, relatively light (under 20 lbs.), fg/ss bike, preferably under $800 or so. I'm considering the following bikes:

Specialized Langster
Mercier Kilo TT
Bianchi Pista
Schwinn Madison
Masi Speciale Fixed & Commuter
Surly Steamroller
Giant Bowery
Cannondale Capo
Fuji Track

1. Are there any other bikes I should consider?
2. What do you experts think about this bike? Specs are here. Thanks for helping out a n00b.

Awesome!

Comes with cool parts for an entry level bike.

It doesn't have a flip flop hub though (both sides are fixed), and it does have track geometry.

Oh, and the decals are removable, and so is the headbadge.

Felt makes the dispatch:

which could go on your list if you like aluminum compact geometry.

raleigh RUSH HOUR

don't the track ends look really short on that bike? The website has no info on crankset and wheelset, which makes it kind of hard to judge its value. Maybe someone can identify some of the parts based on the picture or take a look at the 08 model. Also you'd want to run a brake, so consider that added expense. Otherwise it's a nice looking bike. How much?

Most of the bikes mentioned are very similar. With the exception of the aluminum ones (Cannondale, Langster, etc.) you'll find most use a similar Reynold Cro-Moly, with various degrees of not great parts. Personally I'd get whatever you can at your LBS, with the proper test riding and fitting to be sure.

both sides being fixed is better than a free/fixed hub. because u can still run a frreewheel on the fixed hub

A lbs has it for ~ $560. I think MSRP is around $775-$799. My memory isn't the best, but I think the rims are Mavic CXP22.

I'll look into the Rush Hour and Felt Dispatch. Thanks to everyone for their input. I was afraid I'd get yelled at and told to "SEARCH"...but you've all been so cool. I'm new to biking and I've tried reading the forums during the past few weeks. I've tried reading as much as possible...but as a busy college student, time is limited...so thanks for the feedback.

I'm also considering a near new 09 Langster from a local Craigslister ($500)...but I think the Rocky Mountain Boroughs, Rush Hour, Dispatch, and Kilo TT are on the top of my list so far.
