EDIT (sarcasm and jackassery aside): I watched some of the clips on their site. The clips don't really show much, except for some artsy bike shots/tricks. Anyone got a link to the actual trailer?
is this another "jackasses riding track bikes on the streets of san francisco" movie?

i've always respected mash. the work and production value that went into it is impressive, but i truly think the video is bland and monotonous (when i first saw it, i found myself fast forwarding through parts). cruising around/doing tricks is fun and stuff, but it gets repetitive and the penalty for failure just isn't very substantial with most of the things these guys are doing. - given the choice, i would prefer to watch lucas brunelle in real traffic any day of the week... but that's just me.
anyway, i'm still looking forward to seeing macaframa. hopefully it'll be more thrilling than mash was.

different riders, different film makers, different style.
thats like asking whats the difference between all the bmx movies out there, or all the different mountain bike films out and about.

The only difference I can see, based on trailers, is that it will be different photographers filming different riders...doing the same things on the same bikes in the same city in California.
If all BMX movies were limited to skid stops, bunny hops, and wheelies , and if all Mountain bike movies were confined to the same 200 square feet of terrain, your comparison might be valid.
I'm not trying to 'hate' - Mash was enjoyable enough, I just wish some east coast/Midwest film makers would get off their asses already.

ah yes. the guy in both is james newman. good guy. i have seen a portion of macaframa (nate is a good friend.) there are some tricks you havent seen before, some shots of good riding, and the cinematography is definitely taking things to another level. colin, colby and the rest of the crew have been working hard for a long time on this. you did not see the entire city of san francisco in the 45 minutes you saw of MASH (im still finding new routes and rides here, and ive lived in the bay area almost my entire life). Thats like saying all mountain bike movies shot in BC are the same. also, i believe a portion of the film is shot in seattle.
