I think the Trek Soho has a really great shape, less agressive stance to it. I also like the Schwinn's a lot I dig the old school look. Are they new for this year?

that would be why they are posted in a 2009 fixed gear bikes thread....

Just because they're posted in the 09 MODEL YEAR thread, doesn't make them completely new bikes. <insult removed>

So much prettier, and it came with all the stuff to make it a good SS road bike.

The 2007 had the 1980's look. for 2008 and 2009 schwinn went with the the 1970's.

I liked the 2007 but I mean I'd like them to bring it back exactly as it was... lugged columbus tubing with the curved fork.

walking disease 10-21-08 04:44 PM

does anyone else think those traitor bikes looks ugly as hell?

jpdesjar 10-21-08 04:46 PM

i think the white parts are a bit overkill but for the most part they look like quality bikes

dudezor 10-21-08 07:28 PM

The ringleader frame looks pretty nice to me. A wee bit overpriced perhaps.

xiamsammyx 10-21-08 07:33 PM

quite the opposite. I find them quite attractive. The forks are my only sore point.

BoSoxYacht 10-21-08 08:03 PM

The ringleader looks tacky, but the lugged one looks nice(maybe a different color thogh).

jpdesjar 10-22-08 07:13 AM

the track ends are really nice looking, i agree these bikes may be overpriced a bit

Mr_Christopher 10-22-08 04:17 PM

I think that Traitor Ringleader looks AWESOME! Keep in mind I'm a weirdo. Where can you buy white rim/wheels like that? I need a pair in 26"...I cannot find colored wheel/rims anywhere online, I must be looking in the wrong places. I guess porn sites don't carry bike wheels...Dang!

Mr_Christopher 10-22-08 04:26 PM

Has anyone mentioned the Masi Soulville SS yet?

thats pretty nice, i wonder if you can get just a frameset.

BoSoxYacht 10-23-08 09:20 PM

That Giant makes me wanna puke. I hate sloping top tubes.

jpdesjar 10-24-08 07:32 AM

why design a frame that way? i agree, the sloping tube is ugly

MIN 10-24-08 07:38 AM

Compact geometry lighter and stiffer than traditional geometry (by using less material and smaller triangles.)

But the retrograde aesthetic sense makes baby Jesus weep for the days of Eddy Merckx.

jpdesjar 10-24-08 07:50 AM

i love how large steel frames look...someone posted a tall mercier kilo that really caught my eye

Madoner 10-24-08 08:47 AM

giant calls it a "Pursuit fixie". I was of the understanding that "pursuit" usually refers to top tube that slopes towards the head tube

jpdesjar 10-24-08 09:10 AM

it's more of an upward pursuit

Steve90068 10-24-08 09:17 AM

ugly bike but i still want the saddle on the giant

jpdesjar 10-24-08 09:18 AM

and the wheelset...
