Risers : how wide?

thinking of going the "riser" path.

currently running 40-42 cm road drops/bullhorns. how wide of a riser bar are you guys running?

bar width is personal preference. this goes for any type of bars.

The usual rule for road bike fitting is to multiply your hat size by 4.1 and then add the age at which you lost your virginity.

I ride a 44.

what if he hasn't lost his virginity yet?

huerro 10-10-08 05:14 PM

That might explain his confusion. He can substitute the age at which he decided to save it for Jesus.

Show us on the doll where the bad man touched you, huerro.

just wide enough to fit my ourys

Moximitre 10-11-08 01:12 AM

Shoulder width. It's comfy that way and you get more leverage. There's a reason road bars aren't 8 inches wide.

Double Wide.... YEEEEHAAAAAAAA

dcraver 10-11-08 09:33 AM

As wide as you like. I cut them so that the front of the grip just barely touches the rise.

dutret 10-11-08 09:38 AM

To match your drops/bullhorns cut the risers ~10cms wider.
