2009 Dawes MTA Track Single Speed?
 

On E-Bay for $209 plus $39 shipping. Sounds way too good to be true. Anybody know anything about this bike?

i wonder if the frame is CrMo like the SST. If it is, this is pretty cool in that it's a blank frame with $100 worth of junk wheels/components.

Isn't this a Kilo TT frame with a different fork? It sure looks like it to me...

Not Kilo exactly has the water bottle mounts.

So do the blank kilo frames off bikeisland.

closer to a windsor the hour than a kilo tt if you ask me

looks just like the se draft lite.

it's a bike for people who really need a bike.

i only wish all BD offerings come with removeable cable stops like that.

the Cutter is garbage - doesn't even look like the catalog pic in person, and the pic ain't great -- weighs several pounds more than the SE as well


the SE/Dawes would be a better choice, IMO, but you could do way better with a few more bucks

well, since alot of SE bikes have removable cablestops, do you think BD bikes will reflect this?

How can it be a SE Draft? The draft has one-piece cranks.

I posted an earlier question about the Dawes MTA and didn't get much feedback. I agree, the components are junk, but if you're looking for an inexpensive single speed, then this is about as cheap as it gets new out of the box. While personally I'm fine with the brakes, BMX crankset and cable stays, I want to know a little bit more about the frame itself. Is it the same as the other Dawes frames? Is it considerably heavier than the SST or Windsor the Hour frame? I give them credit for putting the decals over the clear coat for once. Also, I see that Mike mentioned bikesdirect would be carrying this model but so far I've only seen it on ebay. Anyone out there ridden one? Anyone know when bikesdirect will have it listed on its website?
