Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Other people have nautical star tattoos? I thought I was the only one. It reminds me that I'm never lost. It gives me direction in life. You guys wouldn't understand.

Yes. I know a guy who had a compass rose on his sternum. Lovely piece.

How easily a thread is derailed making fun of people's unoriginal tattoos, so over-used, and systematically deprived of their meaning as to merely scream to the world, "The bearer of this is a tool and doesn't even know he's telling everyone about it."

So to get things back on track: more Giro.

If I'm not mistaken it has foot retention. Those look like the MKS pedals that have a clip mechanism in them, from a distance they look like a standard platform

^^iirc, that system is still meant for clips. that bit is just meant as a more secure replacement for a slotted cleat, but still needs a toe strap to hold the foot onto the pedal.

Well it's built to ride on the road, so I don't see why it wouldn't have road geometry.

I agree with deathhare. Gaudy, despite the muted color palette. All the little details end up being too much when taken all at once; the little curlicue cutouts in the chromed lugs, the multi-colored lug infills. It tries looking like something that was made by hand in the 'old world' in the 'old times'. It just ends up looking precious and 'twee'.

If the builder, instead, chose maybe one or two of the little details, it would look better. The Italians and the Japanese, they keep their fancy details to a few minimal signatures instead of trying to add every signature of every builder ever.

Never been a Vanilla fan. Agree with above. Overall look is a bit overdone. That said, the fit and finish of their bikes appear virtually flawless.
