TT Pro comes tomorrow!
I dont know anyone that cares about bikes so I had to come here to yell " My bike comes
tomorrow!" Its a slate, just wish I knew what color that is, maybe grey? I have a cannondale road bike and ordered the TT one size smaller cause I hear they run large. I have Jamie roy wanted something less harsh and a different look. Now my two geared road bikes just collect dust, wierd. Went cold on the roadie image I was into for years. Will try to get a picture up later this week |

The stand over I was looking at gave me the impression a 47 would be better than a 50 for me. |

It is really easy to "go cold" when you are only into something for the image aspect. You must have been one hellofa road rider with such dedication to the sport. Maybe you don't know anyone that cares about bikes and riding them because you don't care that much yourself? Maybe you'll "go cold" on being a vegan sometime too, when the image reasons wear off of that little dabbling. You ordered a bike...and PAID for it without knowing the color? Can we merge this thread with the Jacka*s thread? Just a guess, but maybe "slate" refers to, um, slate, like the stuff people use to make walkways? It's usually grey in color... |

OK, back on subject...
My Kilo TT should be here tomorrow too. I seriously considered slate as well (it is the same as the grey the Hour is available in), but my wife and daughter insist that tangerine is a nice looking color (no arguments), so that's what I ordered. I also ordered a 19T cog as 65-70 is my favorite gear, and a new chain since I will need a couple links, and a pair of normal brake levers since I spend most of my time there. I ordered a 55 since it matches very close to my other bikes. Wish I had it yesterday. The group ride I did would have been perfect for a "break in" ride - 41 miles, almost completely flat, and I stayed in 39/15 (70 inches) the whole time. |

I have "cared" still love bikes even having been put in the hospital twice being hit by cars; almost killed the second time and still ride, with titanium holding my bones together now. and I still ride so F... U! Sure I know what slate looks like, I was able to view every color BD had to offer except for slate...Just wondered what there verson of it is. Soooo... are you selling your geared bikes? Anywhere near Dallas?

Okay, VG, you definitely just wrote it wrong and I jumped to a conclusion, or two. There are just so many "image" conscious "cyclists" around this forum that I took what you wrote as giving up on road riding to be more cool.
Anyway, glad to hear that you are just switching gears;) |
missed UPS and i can't pick it up there until tonight between 8 and 8:30.. bummer.

i thought for sure you'd have your camera to document hah

Didnt get the bike today like it was suppose to, UPS tracking said they screwed up and will be in on the 21. grrrrr. damn it. |
Mine came today. Pretty nice, especially for the price. The Seat post is a bit clunky, and the seat is mediocre, like most low to mid priced bikes. The bars have a surprisingly small drop, especially for a "track bike". Other than that, it seems nice, though all I have done so far is a quick ride around the block. Tomorrow I hope to ride to work on it (6 miles), so should have more input

looks good....minus the rear reflector
it looks much more tangerine than it does on the BD site The color is a pearl. It changes from a yellowish orange to an orangish yellow depending on the light. Kind of unique for a bike, but I like it - dont think I know anyone with a bike anything like it. So now, 6 miles later, my impressions: The cockpit is a bit crampted compared to what I am used to - Partly that I cant get the seat as far back as I am acustomed to, and partly that I think I need 2 cm more of stem length. Certainly ridable, but more upright than I am used to The gearing is OK, but I prefer to spin more. A 19t is on the way, but now I wonder if 18 wouldn't be better... We shall see. Now for those saying it has faster, twitchier (choose your adjective) steering than say, the hour, all I can say is, the steering is much slower and stable than my road bike. And my road bike (Mondonico) is a classic stage frame, NOT a criterium frame. I suspected that would be the case, and for how I will use it, it suits me fine - but for those wanting an agressive handling bike, it is not that. By the way, mine is a 55cm -- pretty middle of the sizing. I hadn't realized that it has no water bottle bosses, but it doesn't. Mike, if your listening, why add fender eyelets, and rack mounts, but no water bottle bosses - very odd! I can get clamps, but it is a peculiar miss. The rack mount came in handy though (note how my light is mounted ;) ). All in all, I think this bike is a very good deal, and I am satisfied. So, until next time (after a couple more days), that's my input Enjoy |

Umm how many? Starting to think maybe the name I use isn't such a good idea. I made it 4 years after going vegan, it's been 8 years now and not such a big deal to me; I've got very use to the way of life. Yeah gonna change it tomorrow.
