700X23 tube in 700X22 tire
these are probably ******** questions, but:
1) if i were to run a 700X23 tube in a 700X22 tire, would i need to adjust the psi, or just fill as i would if it were a 700X23 tire? ( i normally keep my tires at about 115)
2) i have the same question but for a 700X23 tube in a 700X24 tire.
the reason i'm asking is i just bought a new tire set with these sizes, and want to use my old tubes.

doesn't matter.
I wouldn't run it in say, 27x1 1/4 tho.
(although, I have in a pinch and it worked to get home).

I regularly run 700x20-23 tubes in 700x32-35 tires.
My bike's only exploded twice because of it.

The extra pressure might blow your tire off the rim.
Just kidding it's fine. Inflate to the same pressure as normal.
In the case of the too big tube, there might be some extra folded up rubber but it won't do any harm besides adding some marginal amount of weight and possibly making correct inflation (preventing pinch flats, keeping the beads seated) a little trickier. If anything you will be slightly more flat resistant. It the case of the too small tube, it will be slightly lighter and as a tradeoff it will be marginally less flat resistant.
People in pinches have gotten away with running 28 tubes in a 23 tire, 29er tires on a 26" mtb rim, and worse. When I used to run 28's I regularly ran 23 tubes in them because that was all my lbs had.
The bottom line is, what you are asking about hardly even registers on the scale of audacious tube-tire combos. I would definitely run it and maybe think about getting tubes of the correct size once the old ones have too many patches.
