Can you spot what is wrong with this pi

Saw this locked up outside of an art gallery a few weeks ago, this might be the biggest Epic fail I have seen when it comes to bikes in a long while.

Nobody is getting that helmet is more like it, using a u-lock to lock a helmet to the frame and then locking the bike with a cable lock to a fence haha.

Forget the cable lock, it could be a kryptonite chain with an adamantium lock, and I'm talking actual comic book materials here, not brand names, and any thief with a double-digit IQ would still just snip the chain link fence in about 3 seconds and walk away with the whole bike.

1. Disregarding the helmet, it looks like only the rear wheel is locked to the fence, the cable is just draped over the seat.

2. Is the rear wheel a quick release? I can't tell from the crap photo.

3. Don't lock up to chainlink.

Hell, anyone with a good pair of cutters wouldn't waist the time on the lock. I'd clip the fence and take it all.

I think the s was suppose to be an e as in epic. I noticed that too.

The best part is that it's not even a permanent chain-link fence... it's a temporary one!

novacane 10-21-08 02:02 PM
