Bare Knuckle Questions
I'm very interested in gettting one got about 800$ to spend on a new bike and I have been looking around for what is a good investment, quality wise.
my questions are as follows: Where can i find a frame set I ride a old tommaso conversion 56cm atm but I hear BK run a little big should i stick with 56 or go to 54? What sort of price am i looking at for a frame set, i have seen or heard them going for anywhere from $450 - 850. with the BK fork and a 700c wheel is there clearance for bar spins? and if you have any suggestions as to an alternate frame Id appreciate it. I have been riding my Conversion for about 5 years now I just dont really keep up with whats new cool so much as just riding a lot, so im a bit uninformed Thanks guys and girls |
The BK frames are about $700.

I have a 56 bareknuckle and normally ride a 56 road bike. It fits good but standover height is higher than normal cause of the track geometry.
price is going to be probably around 750 - 500 depending if you go new or used. check thebikebiz.com or yojimbosgarage for pricing on new. the bareknuckle won't spin a 700c wheel so if you're planning on getting that frame and looking to do tricks you'll need to get a 650c wheel. if you're planning on it for a trick bike i would say size down also. if you're looking for a bike to do tricks on then look at picking up a brooklyn machine works gangsta frame. that'll spin a 700c and is a steel frame. i think it's about 800 new too. |
