saw the Schwinn Cutter finally
very disappointing
nearly as heavy as a 70 Varsity - horrible stem - different components than shown in the catalog/websites the all black, no logos bit wasn't so bad, at least too bad - I was hoping it would be a fun, decent cheap bike anyone else run into one yet? |
are the bars as long as they were at interbike?
|
yeah - about 5 1/2 feet wide
this thing makes the SE Draft shine like a new dime |
pipecutter solves the problem of the bars.
even so, it looks like poo madison ftw |
it's Hi-Ten steel...what did you expect?

it's Wal mart bike heavy, without shocks or derailleurs or gears several people at my work have expressed interest in cycling, and like my SS - on the same block is an LBS that carries Schwinn, great guys -- it'd be nice to be able to recommend a bike that's not too far out of the price range they would expect to pay for a bike (not being avid cyclists) also, believe it or not, I don't think hi-ten steel is the worst thing in the world - plenty of perfectly serviceable hi-ten frames of tolerable weight out in the real world, being used every day - the Cutter is simply heavier than it needs to be, if you ask me (and you did) |
schwinn hasn't produced a quality bike since they got bought out by pacifica (wal-mart bike kings!) like 4 years ago or whatever it was
