Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Kyoto Osaka Tokyo please keep your eye out...

My friend had his "Vigore" fixie stolen Monday night from Kawabata Dori. It is gold with a metalic flick. This is it pictured, the only difference is that it had a black rev-x on the front when it was taken. If any of you in the Kyoto Osaka Tokyo area spot it please PM me. Oh, the rev-x has a distinctive "chunk" out of one of the blades.

Yes this has come as a bit of a shock to us here. The bike is well know by all the messengers, trackheads and cannonballers in Kyoto so if the d1ckhead is silly enough to ride it as is, he's rooted.

may wanna post this on the mixi communities, too, if it has not already.

safe to assume then that the kyotoloco and kaze messenger crews are aware of this? (just making sure)

Yep posted on Mixi, and kaze crew are aware of it. (The owner is an ex kaze messenger; Seiichi). Today I heard a second Vigore went missing two days earlier in the same area. We have to start locking up...bummer
I suppose it had to happen eventually.
