Loose fork

I just installed my new fork and it seems to be loose
I can barely feel it move around when I hold the brake and try to push the bike forward
I'm pretty sure it's something to do with my headset
Anyone have any suggestions on where to start cause I've messed around with my headset a few times and couldn't fix it
Its 1 1/8 threadless if you're wondering

If you are unable to do it, get someone who can or take your bike to a shop.

Try loosening the stem and tighten the star nut just a little (1/4 turn at a time maybe), then retighten your stem and see if it still moves. Do this until it doesn't move back and forth anymore. Make sure not to make it too tight though or steering will become harder and feel notchy.

Or you'll rip the threading in the middle of the star nut out... just follow Operator's link... note what it says about tightening the star nut...
