Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? You really like that stem? Its the stock stem that comes on the SE Lager. I have a lager so I know and personally I thought that stem is crap, its the first thing I changed.

It's 60mm +- 10 degree. My Lager was built using parts off a 49cm Lager (with a totaled frame) onto my 56cm frame, and using a different fork. I really like the handling and feel of the really short stem, and it looks better than a BMX stem.

Find me a lighter, stiffer (not like theres that much flex in 60mm) stem and I'll put it on immediately. Until then, I'll run what I've got.

When I want to start caring what "hipsters" think of me, I'll stop making out with their girlfriends. Until then I have a:

Diacompe keirin brake paired with a SRAM carbon mountain bike brake lever

I swear, most "hipsters" are just d0uches and sports co-opting a fashion trend.

Were you able to do this with just the little "extra" kit of Nokon housing?

Well, the "extension" kit is 22.95 MSRP, and it's 15.75 inches (according to the Nokon website). I'm fairly certain I don't have quite that length. So it's certainly an option.

Do you run it on your right side? Or do you flip it over and use it your left?
