Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I have 14 guitars and I haven't named any of them but I did name my Broakland Pipe Bomb, Airwolf, because it reminds me of helicopter from the show of the same name.

Not really a name, but I used vinyl letters to spell put "Hella Tite" on my top tube. My next frame will say Ham Bacon on the seat tube.

I've had a long and sordid affair with naming bikes. My first bike to get a name was an old trek mountain bike that I named Esfandiyar, after one of those invincible figures from mythology. Then the bike broke. My first fixed gear was named Heathcliff, was dismantled and sold for parts. None of my current bikes have names, I don't exactly know why, they just haven't seemed to earn them yet. Maybe a time will come, but I don't know, it's been a while

My fixed gear is named Whammy, after Champ Kind's catchphrase, as well as its proclivity for unexpected contact with car doors.

Nope. I never saw the attraction in naming bikes, though I love all of mine.
