need new tires
like the title says i need new tires for my track bike but i dont know any good road tires. looking for the skinny ones with as little resistance as possible. any good ones people know of?

gatorskins are OK on weight and rolling resistance but there is better. My #1 are michelin krylions - much faster, lighter and just as puncture resistant as gatorskins. unfortunately they are hard to find right now. as an alternative i am running Specialized ALL condition pros - light, fast, and puncture resistant. I found them $50 per pair shipped on ebay here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=007
I like to run a michelin prorace2 up front for extra speed and lightness. they arent bad for puncture resistance, too. |
Hmm, interesting thread..
I'm about to replace F/B tires on my whip, but over the European side of the water, I found someone who stocks them! Chainreaction of course! http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=20460 Look fairly cheap too, might just go for the Michelin Krylion over the Conti's! Cheers R.A.U! |
you won't be sorry with krylions, but your link shows them available in 2009! if you can wait, you'll like them.
