I'll agree, though; that chain ring is the absolute ugly.
Also, it happens to be cheap n' strong, which works for me, being poor n' ....poor.

My Dawes

Here is my Dawes SST from this winter. I'm trying to decide if I want to put a flat bar on there with some yellow grips. Any comments in general from anyone...

And yes, I know I took the picture from the wrong side... These things just dont pop into my lil head till later ever

the more direct the light, the more light is reflected back.

these arent 'the' deep vs, but i understand and fairly agree with your viewpoint. i dislike the font as well, but i am very satisfied with the price and performance.

ive just finished the build on mostly new components.

low spokes have the potential to have a much higher risk of failure especially if the are not well built. for me, a brake is in the works.

the stem and spokes are polarizing, but i like them. at least the stem is more low profile without the cinelli billboarding. the chain as well as other things still need to be tensioned a bit more on this new build. i went with the complete as opposed to the frame because this was a gradual and ongoing process that that i rode as it progressed.

little late here-but, how much for the reflective tape and where did you get it?

I know 3M makes some but they want about $125 for them. where you get yours?

the chain was loose, but that was rectified easily. the wheels raise many an eyebrow but are still running strong.

3M Scotchlite here:
https://www.identi-tape.com/eng-sr1.html

And at the top you can choose different widths if you fancy.

nothing makes me angrier than hid's in halogen optics. if i could get away with it i'd smash every halogen lamp i see with hid's in it. i'm glad some people are smart enough to retrofit hid optics in place of the halogen lamps.

does that make my center of gravity off or something? resulting in less power to the cranks? I'm guessing here...

nah, I dig it.
I actually just put some 3M Diamond grade tape on the back of my helmet.
I cut it with an exacto knife and the silver tape blends in well with the white/silver of the helmet.
looks like it came like that from the factory.

reflective tape is great.

I did the same thing with my helmets, no one really notices and it works great.
