What brand of leather did you use to wrap it with? And do you recall the color? If that's Brooks was it honey or brown? Thanks

I use road bike tape on my mountain bike, it'll work on your risers. I like it because I can make it thicker at the ends and quite thin overall, which is nice, because my hands are kinda tiny. I wrap just like a road bike - outside in, cut the inside tail at an angle and tape, tuck the outside tail into the bar and secure with bar end plug, which in my case a wine cork.

It's cheap (although one pair of lock-ons lasts for years), suprisingly durable (multiple crashes have only resulted in nicks in the tape, it hasn't started to unwrap), feels good on bare hands, and all the colour options let me really gay up the look of my bikes.

Oh, and its lighter than grips.

Here it is on my wife's bike, I think it looks great:

This was wrapped inside - out then tucked into the bar end. That set up unwrapps too easily for most purposes. I'll have to re-do the wifey's wrap soon.
