After my Alien gets really dirty from mud and road grime again, I'll put up a pic.

I don't think my Exile counts as a beater, but it's going to be pulling ****ty-weather duty.

not a beater, exactly -- it's probably my nicest bike -- but here's my Miyata 912 outfitted for the Bay Area winter. The tires (Serfas Secas) are completely unsuited for rain riding, though.

I'm guessing by the other pics that fixed or ss isn't a requirement. Here's my geared 95 GT Avalanche that I'm using for the nasty days. Fairly clean in this pic...

I got a new, larger chainring (44T RaceFace) and got rid of my front derailleur. I'm going to order a n-gear chainstop next but it's not completely necessary when you shift slowly and stay on paved roads.

My winter beater + year round commuter. I've never cleaned it yet but it doesnt look half bad right now, it seems to sorta clean itself from time to time depending what you're riding through, plus that fender I put on helps quite a bit. The chainring is absolute filth however, that aint anodized black, all grime and road crud.

It's a Magna I bought for five bucks on Craigslist. Paint job is mine, as is the downtube thunderbird decal.

You should do custom work for people. I'd pay for a frame done, at least.
