Photoshopped? I'm figuring they just took a photo without the brakes mounted.

I like that frame a lot more than the Maddy.

Looks and tubing first off.

dayvan cowboy 11-30-08 08:46 PM

those bars seem small to me.

Mr_Christopher 12-01-08 09:50 AM

The Sprint has vanished from the website. I sent an email to Schwinn asking about the price and availability.

Huh? Link works

Mr_Christopher 12-01-08 11:14 AM

I was wrong, but it gets worse...I spoke to Schwinn and this is an international only bike and not available to anyone in North America.

Of course baby jebus is now crying. Poor little guy.

ps: Don't ask me why is shows up on the North America website.

What?! Poppycock!
I will never understand why companies do this. If you are going to build a quality bike, just release it worldwide so everyone can ride it!

adriano 12-01-08 03:19 PM

has anyone heard what price point this may be at?

akcapbikeforums 12-01-08 03:43 PM

Check out the other bikes that are also available internationally -- it's odd given that all the bikes come from China and Taiwan... why not stick a few of these Sprints into the containers headed to the US?

Thetank 12-01-08 04:00 PM

Its all this secrecy and localized release of products that makes people upset at companies. Schwinn doesn't have the pull or reputation right now to do something like this. They're barely getting their rep to a somewhat stable level with the release of the madison they damn well better have this available in the states.

Mr_Christopher 12-01-08 04:21 PM

The Sprint linked about is from the Czech Republic site, not USA or North America.
