120 hub with quick release axle

I'm looking for a 120mm spaced hub that will accept a freewheel and that has a quick release axle. Does anybody know where I can find one? Or just the quick release axle to replace the solid axle on my current hub?
Thanks.

Loose Screws has Wheels axles that seem to work fine, but usually have to be cut to length.

If you just replace the axle, make sure you have the same threading or you will need to replace the cones and lock nuts as well.

out of curiosity , why do you want a rear quick release wheel?

I'm tired of messing with the 15mm bolts. I figure that using a tensioner with the quick release will be fine. A lot of guys racing 'cross use a quick release and it seems to work fine. Most of them have bikes with 130mm spacing though.

do you have track ends, or a frame with a derailleur hangar?

I have Dimension hubs which come with hollow axles.

Vintage hubs from the 5 speed era are 120mm. You could always go that route.

I'll check into the dimension and soma hubs. Thanks for the help.

I saw pictures of the soma hubs on their site. There's not a lot of information. They appear to have hollow axles with bolts. To use a quick release I'm assuming that you'd need to cut the axles???

I haven't found much information on the dimension hubs. The ones I've see come with solid axles and I haven't found information about replacing the axles.

Yes, on any 120mm hub with a hollow axle designed for use with track nuts, the axle will be too long to use with a QR. Presumably you could just chop it down, but I'd be hard pressed to do that without mangling the threads.

Hubs that use allen-head bolts and hollow axles can be switched to QR, such as the Paul hubs or the profile hubs, neither of which are cheap.
