Question about these bullhorns
heres my kilo tt
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3135/...b25782cea3.jpg im wondering how to take off the bullhorns off the stem just in case i ever wanna put on some risers but my stem is a SM1390 netto dynamic. it seems that the bullhorns are made of 3 parts somehow joined together in the middle. p.s. i didnt put the bars on. the guys at the my LBS did. thanks in adv. |
uhhh, you slide them out.
just pull. hard. |
take the bullhorns apart and slide out the middle piece from the stem. slide the risers into that middle piece and then slide risers + middle piece back into stem.
|
hacksaw to take apart, jb weld back together.
|

loosen the stem head that holds the bars, wiggle or pull the bullhorns out to one side, be careful not to scratch the bars as you slide them out, though you probably will.

For real? You didn't think to look at the part that holds the bars(stem) to see how it is attached? And if you did, did you not see that there is a bolt? And did you not realize that you should loosen said bolt to slide the bars out? The bars aren't even wrapped which makes it even easier.
Have you figured out how to ride it yet? or are you gonna start a thread asking where to put your feet? |
RB021 bars are uncomfortable as hell, they look good though
|
kinda like someone that change a car tire. you can drive the car but thats it.
|

ohhhh i get what you're saying......the thing you think is "3 parts" is all one thing that stays together. they're al. bars right? so its the horns and a stronger center section that joins the two "horns". but this doesnt come apart. think of it as one bar thicker at the center.
|
Cut them off :)
