Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Its narrow or I'm stupid

I just bought some new bull_horn handelbars but I am having trouble sliding the bars through the stem. The stem is a bit older design aka one piece with a locking bolt on the bottom.

try prying the opening of the stem open a bit more to slide the bars in.

OR

check the diameter of your bars, cuz they might be too large.

Take a measurement of the outter diameter of the handlebar. Then take an inner diameter measurement of the stem. If they're both within a couple millimeters of each other, you're good. Use a flat head screwdriver to widen the gap enough for you to slide the handlebar in place.
