skid

how do you do a skid?

jpod999 12-15-08 06:48 PM

Carry a stick and shove it in the spokes real quick. Remove to continue forwards motion.

deathhare 12-15-08 06:49 PM

A what?

Jabba Degrassi 12-15-08 06:50 PM

I just don't wipe. Works every time.

JACQU3S 12-15-08 06:53 PM

i meen on a fixie?

5h0m3d4m0n3y 12-15-08 06:55 PM

while going fast, brake with the front wheel brake really fast and hard. leaning forward helps to build up the momentum, so try that.

uke 12-15-08 06:56 PM

I ride over ice on the bike path.

Use search. Read. Learn. Apply new knowledge.

But to save you about 3 minutes of agony; shift your weight forward over the front wheel, lock your legs, feel COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

roastbeef 12-15-08 06:58 PM

****ing hell. we're in a perpetual state of deja vu.

Don't wipe, ride bottomless.

kingcounty07 12-15-08 07:08 PM

Shift your weight slightly over the bars and pick your strongest leg to lock, whatever feels most comfortable to you, your body should be in an angle similar to this "\". Once you start skidding it should be easy to keep it going. Try cutting into a patch of grass or dirt or something maybe to get the locking of the legs down.

croscoe 12-15-08 07:09 PM

djam ya peeker in teh spooks.

kingcounty07 12-15-08 07:10 PM

You may want to gear down a little bit at first, the first time i tried riding fixed was on my boss's bike and it was geared really high, maybe thats what is causing your problem, what is your bike geared at?

patrick8037 12-15-08 07:17 PM

People are seriously falling for this? Amazing.

mangpress 12-15-08 07:19 PM
