Weight estimate on a Kilo TT.

Ok so I'm sure I will get a lot of crap for this but I want an idea of what my bike will weigh when all the components are on.

Stock 53cm Kilo TT Pro. (19 lbs???)

Replace stock components with the following....

Thomson Elite Stem (90mm) 199g
Thomson Seat post 220g
Nitto RB-018-HT Bullhorns 230 - 250g
Charge Spoon Saddle 258g
MKS STPs (with powergrips)
700x25 Michelin Orium front
700x25 Gatorskin rear

Just an estimate is fine. Thanks, I've really been curious.

Well, we can't do the math unless we know the weight of the stock components, now, do we?

The answer you're looking for, however, is, "probably just slightly lighter. Enough to notice it if you're comparing one to the other, side by side, but not enough to notice it while you're riding."

If you really want to lose some weight, get a new wheelset. You aren't going to ever notice that your new seatpost weighs 30g less than your old seatpost.

I was hoping someone would have an idea about the stock components.. I guess I'm just wondering if it would even be a couple pounds. Also if anyone knows the weight of the stock wheelset I would appreciate that info. If nobody knows then perhaps I should take on the task when it all gets here and create an excel sheet. Although I would need a precise scale huh? hmmm.

suggestions without braking the bank?

I don't know what the weight of the stock wheelset is, and I don't know your definition of breaking the bank.

I'd go Open Pro to Formula in the back, and Open Pro to any decent road hub in the front. Track hubs in the front are totally unnecessary. That should get you a decent wheelset without spending a ton of cash.

If you're totally sold on the track front hub, I know you can get OP's to Formulas for like 230 from someone. I just don't remember who.

Dont know how much this helps but my bike with nitto pearl stem, nashbar bullhorns, and alex r450's was 20.6 pounds.

i don't know about the kilo TT pro specifically, but usually the components that you can save the most weight (in general and for your buck) are wheels, crankset, and front fork, obviously depending on what you have to start with.

if it helps your mission any, i recently got sucked into a weight weenie SS build (i'm sub 18 now, still working) and i bought a hanging fish scale that goes up to 50lbs. weighs in lbs/oz and kg to 2 decimals. it was $20 at Dicks sporting goods. i pulled my bike apart and weighed all the parts separately as well as weighing the bike as a whole.
