Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I sell wine and almost all other forms of booze. I take a class from the community college here every now and again, and spend extended moments of silence on the mat at home.

I'm a Transportation Planner for my city. I mostly focus on alternative modes (bike/ped) policy. I couldn't be happier.

I'm an artist, mainly sculpture and drawing, but occasionally video and digital prints. When I'm not in my studio, I'm cramming a full-time job into a part-time work week as a digital image editor/database manager/webmaster for a graduate art history school. Also, I've been studying Mandarin for 2 years.

Some of you guys have some pretty weird/cool jobs.

I work two part time jobs:
I work in shipping at a glass shop, wrapping bongs in bubble wrap and sticking an address on them.
I work in a cafeteria dishroom scraping half-eaten plates of nasty food into a big garbage disposal and putting them back on the conveyor belt.

Then I go to school. I'm trying to go into publishing so I don't have jobs like the above two for the rest of my life.
