Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

That's depressing, but probably inevitable - the line between dudes who spend thousands pimping their cars to drive slowly down the street and dudes who spend hundreds pimping their bikes to ride slowly to the bar gets thinner every day.

Fatlace has always had its hands in different subcultures. They're really the only ones "mixing" the two together

Surely there are some other natural pairings...

I think '70s buicks and tallbikes would be a hit. I wanna see buick jousting.

how are those even related? Duno being from east coast ive never understood cali ways. I mean a moped is way closer than a vehicle. Why dump thousands in jdm cars when the whole point of a bike is to get around for cheap.

Because the whole point of everything you own is to show other people that you're cool.

This isn't a west coast thing. This is a d-uchebag thing.

I hope there weren't any speed bumps in that parking lot.

Actually, that Integra looks clean. The only thing I don't like about that picture is that white Regal. But that's just me.

there will be a surplus of track bikes in 3-5 years when the spikey haired asians and trust-fund hipsters and flat-brim xtreme sports guys decide riding bikes isnt hip anymore (or that bmx bikes work better for tricks) and put everything on ebay to fund their eventual coke habit. I cant wait.

The same thing happened in the late 1980s/early 1990s after the mountain bike boom. High end mountain bikes were being sold for dirt cheap or in some cases given away. A buddy of mine got a beautiful Cannondale for doing a basic tune-up on some rich deadheds VW.

It'll happen again with FG bikes for sure.......
