want to change bars. Ideas?
What do you think? Drop bars seem a little balky to me. Looking for something a bit smaller? Ideas?

why not?

they're track drops. the deepness probably wouldn't feel as comfortable as chopping some old road drops. plus, they're pretty.
but then again, different strokes. |
yeah i'm real cheap, i'd work with what i got, but you are right they are quite pretty, and fairly rare
|
don't chop them. they are really nice bars. if you want to chop some bars then get a used road set. if you are "real cheap" sell those for $50, buy a $5 road set, chop those, and pocket $45. that's better than "using what you got" plus chop n flopped track bars don't work well because they don't have the correct bend to them to provide an "elbow" for your hands, much less the "horns" part will never quite be parallel.
as for syntace stratos, they are great bars, but there is no way they are going to fit in that stem. as a matter of fact, i doubt any bullhorns will fit in that stem, but especially not the stratos. i've also never seen the stratos in anything but black, which i think will look gross with all the rest of those components. i don't have a suggestion for what to put on the bike, but i'm sure others will come up with better ideas. |
Do you go to Temple, OP?
|
guerciottis are quite nice and deserve classy bars. find some comfortable crits that fit your shoulder width. and use tape this time.
|
this thread cannot be serious.
"hammers seem kinda bulky to me. can you recommend a tool that looks better?" or "i'm looking for a way to show off my bike on this messageboard. does this work?" |
