What frame for my fixed?

I will be replacing the cranks, wheels bars etc. so I am going to pick a frame and get rid of the rest.

Convert them all and sell the other 3 on Craigslist for an absurd price.

All those bikes look like differnt size's, which one fits you best? I would go with that frame.

The blue one withe the chrome lugs looks like it was a decent bike once. The Raleigh's a decent conversion candidate.

But like dude above me said, they're totally different sizes. Do the one that fits.

The Peugeot is French threaded... Replacing the BB can be very expensive..

Dannihilator 12-27-08 07:14 PM

Same story if that Raleigh is a Nottingham frame, if it is the bb size is 68mm, but thread size is 2mm different from an english style bb.

The blue with the chrome is nice looking.

The Peugeot's been crashed. It's fork is bent..

I have been riding the Blue Royce Union to work for the last couple months. It's probably the largest frame out of the four but I do like it. I can straddle the top tube with 27" wheels but it is a little snug. I think I will keep building the blue bike for now.

^ Haha. I just noticed your sig.

The Raleigh Marathon will be the easiest to convert. It is an 80's model (probably 84/85ish) so it will be English threading. My first conversion was one of those.

So that means upgrading the forks and cranks will be easier and cheaper correct?

But doesn't need to be done often - it's an important consideration but not critical to the build.

I agree with the others, convert the one that fits ... and if you've got a choice, the one that ISN'T French threaded

The only fork you need to 'upgrade' is the bent one.
