well.

by measuring the circumference of the seatpost tube with a piece of thread i determined it is 10cm.

i then turned to my old maths knowledge from 5 years ago to determine that
the seatpost diameter is 31.8....by multiplying and dividing by pie and the likes.....

this took me a long time....im appaling at maths.

outside diameter does not equal inside diameter!

Seat tube outer diameter = seatpost clamp inner diameter = 31.8mm according to whatsham.

excuse my poor reading comprehension. i read the title and assumed the item in question was the seat post itself!
