http://fixedgeargallery.com/2008/oct/4/DC_2-4.jpg
so i saw these handlebars today while i was online at work. they are on a Bianchi San Jose. if this is your bike or you know what bars these are can you help me out. i really dig them. i am still new to SS/FG so i can't pick out parts. |
Kally Uno Flatbar
Google my friend |
It says right on the bars.
And, from that angle, they look exactly like every other flat bar that has ever been made. |
while you may think they look cool, flat bars only offer one hand position. if you plan on riding a distance, go for bullhorns or road drops. search the forums for further suggestions - a hundred threads on this subject.

hmmmm. well i posted a reply and it decided to not post. so i'll try this again.
i currently have drop bars on my bike. i like them, they are comfy, but i spend most of my time on the top of the bars. being new to any type of street bike i want to try out some other options. i use to ride a lot of trails on my mountain bike and dirt jump with my BMX. i have been searching the past few days for other bar options i liked. i like bullhorns, but for some reason these flat bars just jumped out at me. for some reason i just really dig them over the other flat bars i have seen. i couldn't really make out what it said on the bars, so i could not search here, or search google. if i couldn't read it i couldn't tell what it was. i think you guys could tell what they were just bey noticing the logo. even if it is small and not focused upon, just by seeing the logo you could tell with out reading it. i know can do this with guitars and guitar gear. just because i have seen it a thousand times before, i don't actually have to read it. thank you for your help. |

look at 24hour MTBikers, and lots of others. i know a guy from a MTB background that has flat bars on almost everything, and he rides long distance on a regular basis. lot of it depends on how you're comfortable |

I could actually tell because it says "UNO" and "Kalloy" on it. And why exactly do you dig them over the other flat bars you've seen?
i couldn't tell that that was a U and and O. i could scarcely make out the N. if i didn't know (and i didn't) that it said "Kalloy," i would not have know what to search for. so all i had to go on was and N. not much information for a search. now that you told me it said "Kalloy," if i put my face really close to the monitor and squint, i can kind of see that, but i would never have known it said "Kalloy" until you told me. i guess my vision is worse than i thought. maybe it's time for Lasic. i am not sure why i liked them. maybe it was just the pictures of the bike that i really liked over all and there for i liked the bars more than others i saw. when i read this: "Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for." and signed up for this forum, i thought it was a place to learn more and get help. i am not the most knowledgeable guy when it comes to bike parts, frames, sizing and whatnot. i thought i could get help with parts, and so far i have. i don't know if you are trying to be a dick or sarcastic, but it is coming off that way. the Internet is a funny place to try and convey feeling and emotions and attitudes. for all i know you are trying to be helpful. basically, i didn't know what they were, i asked for help, i was helped. no need to be sarcastic. if you were just curious as to why i like them, and being helpful, i am sorry. |
