biking at inauguration?
so i got a ticket and was thinking the best thing to do would be to take a train into the city and bike around. do you think the streets will be so crowded that you can't bike? or is biking the best way to get around?
|
Biking will probably be the easiest way to get around, just be careful around the huge crowds of people and go slowly. Might want to see if the train is full if you haven't already got a ticket.
On the 20th, there are parts of the city where you can only walk your bike, and there are parts where you can't even have a bike with you. Fortunately there are two bike valets being set up by the Washington Area Bicyclist Association to park in. This map outlines it pretty well. No bikes in the red area, walk your bike in the yellow area, bikes but no cars in the green area. It shows the valet spots as well. I think a bunch of us will be playing polo most of the day, but not down on the mall. |
yo if there is bike polo i'd be totally down. i never did anything like that before. where will you guys be? could i stop by sometime? do i need a mallet or something?
|
Actually we're playing sunday and monday, not inaguration day, now that I think of it. But if you're in town then come check it out. We play at 13th and D SE, probably afternoon till late. You can borrow a mallet no problem.
