Getting New Parts

I am about to convert my single speed to a fixed gear and I decided that to celebrate the occasion I am going to coordinate the color scheme of my bike to look more "modern". I was hoping to get a new crank set, new wheels and tires, new handlebar wrap, new pedals and a new chain, and I want to get all of this in blue. The problem is I don't really know where to shop or what companies are best. I would also like to keep the cost as low as possible so the cheaper the parts the better, but I don't want to sacrifice too much quality. Can anyone give me some suggestions for specific parts or web sites that I should shop at?

benscylce.com has your colored parts but i don't know about it being cheap, though.

Thank you for the web site dayvan, and I really hope it does do while x, im going with a black and blue set up with all the components being blue and the frame/hub/spokes being black, so I can only hope it will look as cool as I picture it looking.

You do know the color on the chain will wear off and look like turkey vomit.

So would you say that it isn't worth buying a new chain? And how long will it take to wear off?

that's quite a painful colorscheme, black and blue.

Depends on how much you ride, but just think of blue chain and black grease, yuck

Make sure the different blues match.

Speaking of colored components, has anyone used D.I.D. chains before? It's the only company I've found that makes legit black chains, but they're almost $30 at one of my LBS's, so I'm just wondering if they're worth it, and if their "blackness" will strip off just as fast as the black on my gr-9's...

Haha, yeah, I guess it is, but as I picture it in my head, it seems like it will look really nice

Yeah, that's true, but at least it will mesh with the colors I already have on the bike! Or maybe it will just look awful, oh well.

That is definitely something that I was concerned about. Does anyone know of any good bike shops in the greater Los Angeles area that would carry all the parts that I listed above in blue? Seeing all the parts in person before purchasing them would make things a bit easier.
