Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Townie thread so motivated me

That I took the extra $800 I didn't have plans for and ordered a Sun Cyckel.

I think a brooks B17 in honey, replacement grips (in honey to match) and a light setup for Electra?

I don't know the end result, but I know that I really dig this bike and will have a blast using it for commuting and beeboppin around town when not on my 29er now.

The scorcher handlebars on that flip to a mustache-style bar, although I may have to buy a tiki bar instead.

Totally feeling it. I was thinking of getting a Raleigh One Way for the winter commute and summer showers, but they don't make them big enough for me. (I know, not a townie, but still some classic, brooks-worth ish).

Watch it. There won't be none of that "beeboppin" around here, now.

Dam kids and their beeboppin. What do they think this is...Woodstock?

Can't wait until I have an extra $800 that I don't have plans for.
