Mercier Kilo TT

I am new here, but i can already guess that I will get flamed for this post but i think it's important to many and any bit of information would be helpful. My first question is, is the mercier kilo tt the same as the KHS flite 100, just unbranded. Next, I am 5'10 and have a 31' inseame. What size frame should i get. Thanks guys.

Theres a whole thread on this but i guess ill answer

Yes, it is the same geometrically but not the same in quality

get the 53 or the 50. Youre kinda in between.

You'll be fine on the 53cm.

That's not true. They're almost entirely identical. Same headset, stem, hubs, rims, cheap pedals, etc. Only variation is in the cranksets and the color combos.

You're going to feel cramped on a 50. Get the 53 at least.

not true. you will only feel cramped on the 50 if you have relatively long arms/torso.

Kenny, I understand you are new to the forums and may not be familiar with the search button. But creating new threads like this one about a topic that has literally been beaten to the core of the Earth is very annoying and unnecessary. There is a button at the top of the page that says "Search the Forums". Type in "Mercier Kilo TT sizing" and you will find PLENTY of information about your inquiries.

^^^^ And if bikeforums search does not work correctly, you can use google to search bikeforums by typeing in the google search window: site:www.bikeforums.net kilo size khs

Guys, he said his inseam is 31' That's Feet! Give this guy a break this definitely has never been asked before. Sizing might be difficult.

Wheels are Weinmann SP17.

brandonspeck 02-04-09 12:19 AM

holy balls, even when I was new to the forums I knew the value of searching...

But go to a local bike shop and see if they have a Flite, then just try the two sizes. But the better bike here is the Flite.

Yes indeed... but I get the feeling that the kilo tt rims are also the weinmann. They're just undisclosed. But then again, I might be wrong.
