Please hold my foot
Since I have no idea on the recent foot-holding status of this board :
I have a set of Bianchi Celeste green Look-style clipless pedals. They were taken off my bike when I bought it and replaced with some square Primo BMX pedals. The Primos look like *** on the bike, but rides fine. Problem is - they are great for the fact that I only own one pair of shoes, and that's a pair of Caterpillar steel-toed work boots. I don't feel comfortable walking/biking/sitting/anything without a large amount of ankle support and tall sidewalls. I think a shoe should end 3-5 inches above your ankle. Are there any shoes out there that feel like boots, but can clip into pedals? |
I found these on Nashbar's site
Shoes The most "boot like" ones I could find and for only 30$ !! Cheers Chris |
There are two shoes/boots at Performance https://www.performancebike.com/
(Sorry I haven't figured out how to do links) First is the Sidi Storm 2. Second is the Carnac Brisbane Shoes. |
Is that thread heading code for "pull my finger"?

Thanks for the suggestions, but none really help. The pedals are designed for road, and I guess they won't work for anything else. I took the pedals and the cleats that came with them to 2 different LBSs and they both said that the only way they would work is with a 3-hole system.
Pretty much these purdy pedals will end up being put in a box in case I ever sell the bike (REALLY doubtfull) I was mainly hoping there was a shop with burly shoes that would fit these pedals, but I don't think such a thing exists... Oh well. |
