i dig plastic. if the ones i have now break,i'd for sure go back to another plastic pair

I tore through my MKS steel clips and my soma double gates.
Plastic for the win. :thumb:
Also the pake space straps are GREAT, and dirt cheap.

^^^

where can i get some of these?!?!!

jsource 02-23-09 04:04 AM

They look just like the soma/dimension straps..? anyone see anything different about them?

jsource 02-23-09 04:05 AM

nevermind.. i see a difference. the two straps meet at a "U", instead of a half square. So they're definitely not exactly the same batch.

jussik 02-23-09 04:21 AM

I have those as I said already, they're thick double layered suede, very different from soma etc.

JayNev 02-23-09 07:31 PM

i might saw those a week or so ago. good pickup

Geordi Laforge 02-23-09 07:40 PM

12 bucks aint bad. good find.

jsource 02-23-09 09:23 PM

yeah they have a small amount of rust on the buckles but not anything to fuss about especially for a $65 set of straps for $11.50... they were great today, i like how they feel compared to my Toshi singles. I might have to pick up a set of Toshi doubles

and for anyone wanting doubles these are great and they're about $25 less than Toshis. i've found them for $65 (well and $11.50 lol) online so just a heads up

Good luck with those, they split on me while I was installing them and are completely shot after about 100 miles. Maybe I just got a bad one, but you'll have to post up once you've got some miles on them and let people know how yours are holding up.

where did you get the brown leather part?

REMspeedwagon 02-26-09 10:36 PM

they're doubleizers. usually hand-made but Cadence and SAG make a nice set.

fuggers 02-26-09 11:11 PM

Yeah, I made them out of some nice leather I found at an arts and craft store. You don't need much, a 12x12 inch sheet was enough if I remember right.

All you need is a leather punch and some rivets

fi3nd666 03-01-09 03:08 PM

the search option isn't really working as well as it use to . . . so i'm gonna post my question here. what size clips are you guys using/what size shoe do you wear?

REMspeedwagon 03-01-09 03:29 PM

really depends on how much of your foot you want in the pedals.
just for reference, a 'L' usually fits sz. 9.5-11

hey, those look like mks gr-9 pedals - i thought they only took a single strap.

how have u retained the 2nd strap? do u have a pic of the under side?

(im really after gr-9 pedals, but i want to use them with double straps like this pic.)

wild style 05-11-09 11:30 AM

You can run double straps on gr9's by replacing the hardware with longer bolts.
