Republic bike components?

Does anyone know if the republic bikes fixies are good for taking apart and rebuilding another bike?

There have been a couple of Republic threads lately, search and read them to see what the forum thinks of these bikes.

Why would you buy a bike to take apart in the first place?

Also, stop using the term "fixie".

You both had just better stop talking, I guess.

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what post #1 means.

If you're talking about doing a conversion for a road bike, I'd guess they're probably okay components, but you'd need to make sure the headset / bottom bracket / etc. specs were the same as for your existing frame, as otherwise you'd be spending a lot of money counterproductively.

what "parts" exactly do you need? generally speaking you will be better off buying higher quality parts you actually need as opposed to buying a whole bike and stealing parts off of it.

Okay I recieved the bike as a gift. And I bought another frame, so now I want to create a Bike with the frame I bought. Because the Republic bike is a cheaper steel frame. So that is my delima, I really don't have the money to buy all the parts, But I love riding by bike.
