Cheap cranks

Alright so I'll stop being a jerk and post an actual topic.

I'm usually in C&V but I think this might get a better response in your forum. I flip bikes, a lot of bikes. Mostly boomer roadies and 90's mtbs, I sold around a hundred last summer. Here in Montreal most of my stuff goes to college kids or people working for the summer. I try to save my best bikes for couriers and enthusiasts. While most people just want something that runs I've found a lot of people want fixed/ss, no problem I can do that. The snag that I most often run into is cranks. So many old road bikes are prime for conversion but their cranks are utter crap, and considering the look of a single chainring is what I think drives a lot of people to buy an ss (sorry but its true) I find myself always in search of decent cranks.

My question then is what is a good (enough), cheap SS crank. I'm talking less than $50 and purpose built. I know I can camp out on ebay and try to score Exage sets to convert but I don't have the time or stamina. So who makes e'm and where at?

You could possibly find Bulletproof cranks at wholesale..
which should be >$50 a crank. They're 110bcd and square taper.

If you want to keep costs even lower get cranks with non removeable chainrings. There are plenty of generic $20 single chainring square taper cranks out there.

Exactly what I'm talking about. Brands? Models?

They're noname. No model. I can tell you which supplier carries them (I recall it was J&B).

Pake cranks retail for about $60, about $35 from the distributor, and they're pretty nice.

If you're making fixed gear conversions, you may have to replace the bottom brackets as well.
