Surly Fixxer and Hed Disc?
Hi,
I have a 2007 Hed Disc with a 9/10spd Shimano hub on it. It's a bit out of true and I don't feel like selling it. So, I thought it would be fun to throw it on my son's fixed gear commuter for a while and let him beat it to hell. Anyways, if I buy this Surly Fixxer gadget and throw on an EAI track cog and a lock ring, will I get 120mm spacing and a fixed track hub? I just want to double check before I throw down the cash. My son has been eye balling the disc for a while and all it is doing is collecting dust. Thanks for the help! |
Hmm, looks like it would work just fine. Wasn't sure about the spacing but the website says that most hubs can be spaced to 120...but when it becomes utterly destroyed you should totally post some pics.

yea it's totally "fun" to put a hed rear disc on a bike just so it can get "beat" on...

Actually it's probably a fun novelty haha.
