Listen, laugh, be critical!
OK here's your opportunity to listen to a song I did one night after drinking some Hudy Delight (Cincinnati beer) Listen, laugh and be critical! Tell me what you think! Drag it through the mud! Beat it like a rented mule! Here's your chance! No fancy production here. Just me, a mic and my guitar which may or may not have been in tune at the time. It doesn't really matter though because my voice is definitely out of tune!

Does your Timbuk2 Yoga bag have the iPod thingee?
|
Nice guitar riff. Sounds catchy, Sugar-esque if you will. Home project?

Nah...I have a hard time listening to most new punk/hardcore nowadays. I find that rolling out oldies (gasp...) like "New Day Rising" from Husker Du or "Haunted Town" from the Effigies gets the old blood moving more than anything out there. You do your thing MKRG...whiskey or without.
One more question: On TB2's (man, I yuppied up that name - gu-faw!) site, it says "An external water bottle pocket stores your hydration supplement." Can you fit your bottle Ripple in there for your trips to the recording studio? |
I don't even know what ripple is.

cheap booze.

It sounds more folk-pop than garage-punk to me...for garage punk y'all need to play faster through big amps w/ lots o' distortion and a kickin' rhythm section...what's 'a matter, couldn't ya find anyone to play for beer 'n' cheetos?? ;)
Got any songs about bicycles that you want to share?? :) |
You keep a nice rhythm for being drunk. Now the trick would be to keep a decent spin while drunk and being dehydrated and getting drunker. Have non-drunk stuff up to listen to?

It's just an idea at this point, getting kicked around. But, you could be on the include. |
My "critique": A lot of Elvis Costello meets Violent Femes style there.

If you want to use anything I put on the site you're more than welcome to William. I can't really believe anybody would want to listen to it but you never know. I'm digging that song of yours Schiek!

OK. I'm putting another song up. As soon as it's available for your aural pleasure I will post a link. Before anyone says anything, the word is AURAL not ORAL, look it up! :D This song was written a long time ago when I was making the drive between Schaumburg (GASP!) and Cincinnati on a regular basis. It gets its inspiration from all the "interesting people" that I met at gas stations in Indiana. It is my personal ode to Trailer Parks and Pick Up Trucks.

I like it! Sort of Bob dylan violent fems elvis costello. BTW, elvis is the man.
Hey I think I can write something bicycle related for another mag. Not that it would be good or anything but sometimes i write. |
OK the new song is up! It's the on called "Lucy Said". Sometimes I wish I had a Camaro.
http://music.download.com/thecenterl....html?tag=list I am anxiously awaiting your comments, criticisms and even ridicule if you feel the need. |
Guitars and bikes are prettier to me when they have been well used through the years. That is not to say abused.
|
Sounds kinda fishy to me.... except I don't like fish, and I sort liked this song.

just finished listening to "Lucy Said" and I ended up tearing my parachute pants on the corner of my linoleum. Dammit...these pants once belonged to the famous Boogaloo Shrimp. You owe me $4.61.
But never before have I kicked the robot so well. I popped and locked my way through the git solo 1983 NY style. |
