Raleigh's Warranty?

I'm new to the forums, and newish to cycling.

After riding my dad's old 80's junker 10 speed bike for a while (missing a few ball bearings and everything), I got a new 59cm Raleigh Rush Hour '07 model. It's great, I love it tons. After riding it today I hit a small bump in the road going at a moderate speed and heard a pop from somewhere around the front wheel. When I examined it, I couldn't find anything wrong with it except the valve stem nut was a little loose (may have been like this before, or may have been what the pop was).

Anyways, this prompted me to examine the "Raleigh warranty" and It's really pretty... well... unuseful.
Warranty excludes
"Bicycle frames, which have been... repainted, or had the original decals removed."
"Frames, forks, wheels, axles, handlebars, and stems, which are bent from just riding along..."
"Any additional costs associated with the incompatibility of existing parts and the replacement frame or fork."
This warranty does not apply to damages or failures due to:
"Materials fatigue, normal wear and tear."

There's much more than that, but that's the stuff that really stuck out to me. I'm not sure if I'm way out in left field on this one, but it seems like it really doesn't cover anything except came broken. Oh but then there's also a part about it having to be assembled by an authorized Raleigh dealer, otherwise it's not covered, so it may not even be covered if it was a twisted pile of metal when it was received.

I'm really liking that look of the '09 Rush hour, maybe get myself some of those red rims. Should I just ignore this warranty and do whatever the heck I want with it?

Change whatever you want on the bike. Said component will obviously not be warrantied by Raleigh. If you screw up you frame by using something incompatible, then again warranty does not apply.
