tire width and rim size

i used to have 700x28 tires on my rims. i just got a new set of tires that are 700x23, will they fit? or will i have any problems?

They'll fit. What kind did you get?

When I swapped the 'cross tires on my San Jose for narrower road tires, I picked up speed and a much quieter ride.

They should be OK.
Get um on and try um out.
Use Maxim PSI to prevent Pinched Flats.

What bike do you ride?

They'll fit ok. You might find the ride isn't as cushy. Just watch out for pinch flats when riding up gutters etc.
