new rear cog and the chain line isnt straight (i dont think)
i just has a new cog put on my wheel, i put it on by bike and spun it and noticed there was a noise i hadnt noticed before. i checked the chainline and i noticed the rear cog seems to be a bit further in from the front chainring. how can i fix this? im not even sure if its the chainline that isnt straight so how do i check to see if it is straight?

a lot of times it's because your chain is stretched and does not mate very well. Also just takes a bit of time for new drive chain parts to settle in and quiet down.

Its tough to diag over the internets, any pics ?
... could be anything from a chain thats toooo tight, the sapcing could be "off" ...( but. if the old one worked ... ) Are you mixing / matching different size parts ? ( 1/8 or 3/32 )
Its all real easy to diag. in person ...
