if only i were shorter ... and rich

people who buy bikes like that and say they never rode them are either lying, or they need to be shot. who doesn't want to ride that bike!? what's the point in buying a $2200 bike and not riding it?
|
plus, 2200 for that bike is, er, a BIT overpriced. An LBS near my P's had the same deal (maybe different wheels) for 1200.00 around that time.
|
I would agree with 165, for that kind of money go and get something better then a GT. Plus I'm not all that big on the dura ace group. I know that this will cause some serious debate but thats the way I see it.
|
I've got a LBS up here in the North Country with about 12 of the GT Pulses. He's selling em for $1100.
I wound up with the GTB, the primary difference being the frame is 7005 vs Easton and outfitted with Sugino components. They are very nice rides. |

I'm gonna swap my Suzue/MA2 combo for a set of CXP 33 on Dura Ace hubs sometime this summer. He builds em up for about $200. |
They don't make cpx 33's anymore
|
Not a bad deal, if I were rich:

Here's another GT, pretty cheap.

Actually one of the employee/owners of The Hub bicycle co-op here in Minneapolis has a GT like that. ALthough his is quite a bit nicer, Phil's laced to Cxp33's, sugino 75 cranks, etc etc. Not to mention the sweet looking toptube protector, some sort of plastic/rubber covered with spikes, very caveman.

i think he was lying to get you to buy the velocities.

Or, maybee, I quit. |
yeah...low/no stock doesn't equate to "they're not making it anymore." chances are, he just wanted to move what they have in stock...the velocities aren't bad, but from what i've seen, they're not eyeletted, and the braking surface isn't machined as nicely as the cxp33s.
that's really lame that he said they're not made anymore. |

Then again I was looking at a CXP, not a CPX |
